Cuban Breakfast Griller
Our flavourful EGG Bakes 4 Cheese & Ham makes a speedy and satisfying replacement for the traditional layers of roast pork and ham in this Cuban-inspired breakfast sandwich.

Ingredients
1 quiche / 85 g | EGG Bakes! 4 Cheese & Ham |
2 tsp / 10 ml | softened butter |
2 slice | Texas Toast or thick sliced brioche bread |
1 tsp / 5 ml | yellow mustard |
1 slice | Swiss cheese |
2 | dill pickle sandwich slices |
Directions
Cook EGG Bakes! quiche according to package directions.
Lightly butter Texas toast and lay buttered-side-down on a work surface. Spread one slice with mustard; top with dill pickles, the hot quiche and cheese. Add the second slice of bread, buttered-side-out.
Toast the sandwich in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until golden on each side and cheese is melted.
Tips
Meat lovers can still add a few slices of deli ham and/or roast pork to the sandwich before toasting.
Alternately, sandwich can be toasted in a panini press if preferred.

To hard cook, place cold eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) of cold water over the top of the eggs. Cover saucepan and bring quickly to the boil over high heat. Immediately remove pan from heat to stop boiling. Let eggs stand in water for 18 to 23 minutes. Drain water and immediately run cold water over eggs until cooled. This helps to prevent a dark or greenish ring from forming around the yolk. Remove egg from shell.
