Ingredients

Pie Ingredients:
1 store-bought refrigerated pie crust
1 cup / 250 ml Egg Creations Whole Eggs Original
2 cup / 500 ml whole milk
2/3 cup / 135 g granulated sugar
1 vanilla bean, cut in half and scraped (or 1 tbsp / 15ml pure vanilla extract)
Optional Whipped Cream Ingredients:
1/2 cup / 125 ml whipping cream
2 tbsp / 25 g granulated sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and position a rack in the lower third of oven.

  2. Roll out the pie crust onto a 9” pie plate. Crimp the edges as desired. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the Eggs Creation Whole Eggs Original, milk, sugar and vanilla bean seeds. Carefully pour the mixture into the pie crust.

  4. Bake for 60-75 minutes or until a thin knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before serving.

  5. Optional Whipped Cream Instructions: beat the whipping cream with sugar until soft to medium peaks. Serve on the side or spread on top of pie.
