Ingredients

2 cup / 500 ml | all purpose flour |
1 1/2 cup / 375 ml | granulated sugar |
1/2 cup / 125 ml | cocoa powder |
2 tsp / 10 ml | baking powder |
1 tsp / 5 ml | baking soda |
1/2 tsp / 2 ml | salt |
1 cup / 250 ml | sour milk |
1/2 cup / 125 g | EGG Creations! Fat Free Original or Naturegg Omega Plus, well shaken |
1/2 cup / 125 ml | vegetable oil |
1 1/2 tsp / 7 ml | vanilla |
Frosting | |
1/2 package / 250 g | light cream cheese, softened |
1 1/2 cup / 375 ml | icing sugar |
1/4 cup / 50 ml | cocoa powder |
Directions
For cake: in large mixer bowl, blend all ingredients. Then beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour into greased 13" x 9” (33 cm x 23 cm) baking pan.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) 30-35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool on rack.
For frosting: beat cream cheese until smooth. Add icing sugar and cocoa; beat until creamy. Spread over cooled cake. Store in refrigerator.
Tips
To sour milk, place 1 tbsp (15 ml) vinegar in measuring cup and add milk to make 1 cup (250 ml).
