Classic Rice Pudding
The hint of spice adds just the right amount of flavour to this family favourite!

Ingredients
4 | Naturegg Omega 3 eggs, beaten |
2 cup / 500 ml | milk |
1/2 cup / 125 ml | sugar |
1 tsp / 5 ml | vanilla |
pinch | salt |
1 1/2 cup / 375 ml | cooked short grain rice, cooled |
1/2 cup / 125 ml | raisins (optional) |
1/8 tsp / 5 ml | nutmeg, cinnamon . |
Directions
Beat eggs, add milk, sugar, vanilla & salt.
Beat till fully mixed but not foamy.
Stir in rice (& optional ½ cup / 125 ml raisins).
Pour mixture into a 2-quart round casserole dish.
Bake uncovered in a water bath (place the casserole dish in a pan of water in the oven).
Bake 30 minutes at 325.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and stir.
Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold in individual dessert bowls.
